Katy & Nathan

A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor to shoot Katy & Nathan’s wedding. I had so much fun shooting this lovely couple and their family and friends. Here are a few images from their special day.

Katy and the girls got ready at her parents place, which was this beautiful 100 year old house. I was amazed at all the little rooms and halls in it! I especially loved the blue walls against the girls pink dresses.

The ceremony was just down the street from the house, at Scarboro United Church.

I loved this moment between Katy and her grandmother.

After some family shots, we headed to Reader Rock Garden for some fun photos of the bridal party.

The reception was held at the Four Points Sheraton Calgary West hotel. They did a great job decorating, and everything was a lovely hue of pink!

Laurel & Garrett

Laurel & Garrett were married a couple of weeks ago on a beautiful sunny day. These two were such a pleasure to work with- easy going and clearly in love with each other! Everyone looked like they had a great time celebrating. Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding…

 

Tim and Danielle- Engagement-session

This was a fun session to shoot, because it was for my good friends, Tim & Danielle! Theye’re getting married next summer, and while I have the honor to be a bridesmaid for her, it was fun to be able to photograph this session for them around town.

Liam Bourne

The long awaited baby of my good friend Sarah is finally here! I was able to watch him come into the world, so I may be a little biased, but I think he is one of the darn cutest babies I have ever seen!

Katy and Nathan- E-Session

Last weekend I had a great engagement session with Katy and Nathan, whose wedding I am looking forward to shooting in June. We really lucked out with weather, as it started blizzarding just a few hours after we finished! Thats good ol’ Calgary for you, I guess. Here are some of my favorites from our session.

Things have been a little busy around here with babies being born, weddings, designing an album and a new blog on its way! So I apologize for the lack of recent blog posts! I have some baby photos to share, as well as a fun e-session.  For now, I’ll leave you with some photos of my husband Owen, who rarely makes an appearance on here. He helped me for the first time with a wedding I shot out of town, and for someone who has never has assisted me, he did a great job! I’m sure you can tell by how attentively he is holding the brides bouquet and my gear!

I think I caught him a little off guard, because he doesn’t look too impressed with me for taking his picture. Woopsie.

Ah well, you gotta expect that I will be snapping photos when you assist me! Heh heh.  Stay tuned for some adorable baby photos coming soon!

Soleil Or

This beautiful baby girl is the long awaited for baby of my good friend, Erin. She is such a blessing that we have all been praying for, and it was so wonderful to be able to take some quick photos of her when she was just one day old!

 

 

 

 

 

Sarah + Mat + Baby

I know I have said this before, but one of my favorite things is being able to photograph all the different chapters of a person’s life.  Being able to shoot Sarah & Mat’s engagement photos, to the wedding, and now to their first baby, is such a special thing for me. I think its wonderful to have all those little chapters in your life documented.  And in a few days, I will be able to capture Liam’s entry into this world! For now, we are being patient and appreciating these final moments.  I’m sure Sarah is appreciating the last few nights of sleep  =)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

More Jaques!

Just a few months ago, I blogged about our good friends, the Jaques, who were expecting their second child.  Well, Ava made an appearance shortly after, and now she is an adorable little three month old! I even got to babysit her one night, which was pretty fun, once she settled down. I think I’ll stick to just having my cats for awhile. But she sure is cute to look at! I’m so excited to see this little family grow through out the years.
